The West Central Weed Management Area (WCWMA)

with stopping the spread of noxious and invasive plants located in the West Central
Platte River drainage area.
The WCWMA covers 5 Counties in West Central Nebraska. The area consists of
Sandhills. Loess Hills lakes,
streams and wetlands that drain into or have an impact
on the Platte River. We are concerned about invasive plants on uplands as well as riparian areas.
The purpose of the group:
Facilitate cooperation and coordination among all
land managers and landowners to identify and manage noxious and invasive
plants in the West Central Weed Managment Area.
Develop Education programs to further the efforts of the WCWMA.
Identify funding and resources to help us control the spread of noxious
and invasive plants.
